Pure Ice Nail Polish is Not So Solid

You know you get what you pay for. I know you get what you pay for. Yet I was seduced by the gorgeous rich color of nail polish a coworker was wearing the other day. I asked her where she got it, and she told me she picked it up at the local mega-mart.

I popped into the nail care section the next time I was there and yes indeed, there was this huge array of really inexpensive nail polish in great colors.

I didn’t ask her the important questions though – such as – how does it wear? How often do you have to touch it up?

Because, had I asked I would’ve learned that even with a nice heavy top coat this polish seems to be designed to chip. After trying multiple kinds of top coat/bottom coat/sealer products I could never get this polish to STICK on my nails for more than 1/2 a day.

It’s not a bargain it’s a waste of time and money. Big thumbs down to Pure Ice nail polish.

Oh, I loved these colors, went out and bought all I could find! After about 6 months of continuous use of Pure Ice my beautiful natural long nails became discolored and every one of them broke. I was lucky to catch it in time before something worse happened! I thought the initial discoloration was from using dark colors. Not so! It looked like my nails had gotten some weird kind of disease! I’ve never experienced any problems with any other brands – ever! Thankfully my nails are now on the mend. My advice is run from this brand and never look back!
