Britax Boulevard Provides Peace of Mind With One Click

Christopher’s new car seat is a rockstar.

Seriously. When the car seat technician who helped us install the new Britax Boulevard CS saw it she said, “How did you get this? It’s not even out yet!” Then she jumped up and down, squealed, and took pictures of it with her phone.

When it came time for us to choose a car seat for Christopher, we skipped the infant carrier systems and went straight to the Britax car seats because I knew they were the best. However, I did not research the different models beyond which one was on sale and where. The science of bargain hunting.

This process put my baby in a nice Britax Marathon with which we have been pleased. Since Christopher’s birth, however, I have become increasingly more interested in what sets one car seat apart from another so that if there is something better out there, we could get it for our second vehicle.

Enter the Britax Boulevard CS.

Even though you can’t go wrong with any of the Britax models, the Boulevard CS has a lot of extra features that make it well worth the extra dollars. All of these were pointed out with glee by my friendly car seat technician.

The base of the seat has a protective covering so that you can do away with that seat cover you’ve been using to protect your car and might have been interfering with the effectiveness of the seat.

The wings are a little bit larger and a little bit cushier. The Marathon doesn’t have this infant body pillow feature, and we really could have used it in the beginning.

Of course there is side impact protection and their patented Versa-Tether anchors that minimize the movement of the seat in the event of a crash.

The shining feature of the Boulevard CS is the “Click & Safe” harness adjuster. After you have secured your child in the seat and fastened the harness and lap buckles, then you pull on the “Click & Safe” harness adjuster until you hear the “click” and know that the harness is snug enough and your child is safe and secure.

“The Click & Safe answers parents’ biggest car seat fear – that they’ve not properly harnessed their child,” said Pankaj Amesar, advanced technology program manager for Britax Child Safety Inc. “This audible parental aide helps make traveling with a child less stressful while furthering Britax’s mission to advance child safety.”

I am so glad I had the chance to review this car seat. All of the safety features aside, something else about the Boulevard CS has given me peace of mind.

A comfortable child.

For whatever reason, when I switched out Christopher’s seat for the Boulevard CS, our car rides became infinitely more bearable. My child went from an avid hater of all things automotive to a happy little boy who will even take a nap in the car now.

Thank you Britax for peace of mind and actual peace and quiet in my car.
