I used to do a lot of scrapbooking in the old days. You know, before I had four kids under the age of nine. Now if I get to the end of the day and the house hasn’t burned down and no one had to go to the emergency room, I’m happy. Bonus points for actually getting a load or two of laundry done. But I still have a ton of pictures that I want to get into scrapbooks.
That’s why Scrapblog is a great fit for me. Scrapblog is a website that lets you upload your pictures or pull them from great photo sites like Flickr, Photobucket, Webshots, Facebook, Picasa or Smugmug. You can build your own Scrapblogs and print them out or share them electronically with friends and family. I love that you can put them up on your blog or email them. They allow you to choose to keep your Scrapblog private for just those who you invite to see it, or you can make it available for public viewing. The best part if that it’s free!
You can choose from hundreds of designs as a starting point or you can start from scratch by picking your own backgrounds, borders, “stickers,” shapes for journaling and other design elements. You can even add video or music for a true multimedia product.
Making a Scrapblog is fairly easy. I found it pretty intuitive, but I think it helps if you have experience using some sort of design/layout software. Even if you don’t have much experience it is fairly easy to figure out. If you’re busy like I am, you’re going to love Scrapblog.
