Get Your Feet Sandal Ready With The Body Shop!

With the first day of summer around the corner and temperatures rising, now is the time to start paying attention to those feet that have been hibernating in closed toe shoes all winter. I like to start with a pedicure, but sometimes life gets in the way and I can’t make my regular appointment so I need a way to keep my feet beautiful in the interim. Here are some of my favorite products that get my feet ready for sandal season.

The Body Shop’s Peppermint Foot Line
Pumice Foot ScrubI’ve been a fan of The Body Shop since they first jumped in the pond way back when I was in middle school. I used to go into the stores and sniff anything and everything, spending my allowance on as much as I could afford.

Now as an adult, I still love their products. This time of year my hands down favorite products are anything from the Peppermint Foot line. I religiously apply the Peppermint Cooling Pumice Scrub to a Plastic Foot File to rid my feet of any dry yucky dead skin on my heels. You know what I’m talking about - the hardened skin that forms on heels that no one wants to see in sandals. Applying a dime size amount of the Cooling Pumice Scrub on the Foot File leaves my feet baby-bottom smooth. And I know it may seem redundant to use a scrub on a foot file, but trust me the super exfoliating power works wonders. Exfoliate every time you are in the shower and you’ll never have to worry about your heels looking unpresentable in public.

Cooling Foot LotionHop out of the shower and treat your feet to some lotion. The Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion is heaven for your feet. It contains peppermint oil to naturally deodorize and cocoa butter to moisturize. Oh, and the cocoa butter is community traded which means that The Body Shop provides fair wages to small-scale farmers in Ghana who harvest the cocoa beans. Since 1995 an agreement between The Body Shop and the Kuapa Kokoo company has enabled farmers to receive income to support their families and sustain development of projects in their community such as schools and wells. Besides supporting fair trade, The Body Shop never tests on animals. So feel good about your purchases as you pamper your feet!

After exfoliating and moisturizing, my feet are almost flip flop ready. They just need the perfect polish. Stayed tuned to hear about the best polish to apply to moisturized feet tomorrow!
