Always a skeptic of the “all natural,” I took my samples from the Origins Representative speaking at my Twins club meeting with a smile and no real intention to be interested in them. I liked the smell of one of the lotions, but really they were just free samples and I wasn’t terribly inclined to use them at all.
I tossed them in the drawer of girly potions in my bathroom and didn’t think much about them. But as I was taking my little people out of the tub one night, I noticed how dry their skin was and reached into that drawer. The little tub of Origins Ginger Rush lotion was the first thing I grabbed so I slathered them up with and sent them on their way. My oldest was the first to mention it, ” We smell so good Mom, I love this lotion.” They did smell delicious, as a warm scent swaddled them.
It was delicate, but not overpowering. A warm, clean smell that wasn’t soapy or flowery and it was one of the best scents I’d smelled in a while. But, as a friend of mine will say, the way it smells doesn’t do a thing for your skin. So I was curious as to how it would work on little boys with sensitive skin, and some rough patches where they were prone to eczema. I’ve been using it on them for several days now and I’ve noticed a smoothness to their rough patches of their skin. It goes on thick and the warmth of your skin disperses it quickly without any oily residue or greasiness. And the delicious smell lasts a nice long time.
Overall I’m very impressed. Origins has a new fan.
