In order to get most anything done now, I am usually wearing my baby. I was given a Moby Wrap as a gift and it is still probably my favorite way to carry Christopher. My only complaint is that it is cumbersome to put on and take off again.
Upon the recommendation of my sister-in-law, I ordered a Peanut Shell baby sling to slip on and off easily. Had I written this post in a timely fashion when I first received my Peanut Shell, it would have been an entirely different review. Christopher hated it. He was lost down in the deep pouch and I couldn’t figure out a way to wear it that didn’t seem to just swallow him whole.
It turns out that my niece, who is 3 months older than Christopher, was enjoying her mom’s Peanut Shell quite differently. She could sit up and look out to see the world.
A couple of weeks ago Christopher, who is now 3 months old, could finally sit up in the Peanut Shell, cast one arm out the front of it and ride around with quite a view of the world. He has decided to love the Peanut Shell and so have I.
Even Daddy likes the Peanut Shell and carries his little man around the house with him on the weekends. They make quite a pair.
The Peanut Shell has a padded inner rail, a pocket for your cell phone or wallet, and a place to clip a toy onto it. You order it based on your t-shirt size. It comes in several different prints, solids, organic cottons or microfleece material. They also sell coordinating nursing covers.
Right now they are running a Mother’s Day special. Enter the code MOTHERSDAY to receive 40% off your order. With that deal, I’m ordering another one to have a spare while one is in the wash.
