Peg Perego Aria Twin Stroller Rolls For Two

Peg PeregoThe Peg Perego Aria Twin was a stroller I coveted as we went out and about with our children. So sleek, so handy, so easy to maneuver - at least from a spectator’s point of view. The seats recline independently and I can attest that that this is really a sweet feature. You can lay one sleepy boy back in a comfy position to sleep while the other one sits up and enjoys the scenery. I admit that I thought this was a fairly groovy feature as the others I had looked (which boasted a lower price) did not offer this feature.

At only 14 pounds it seemed like a dream stroller after we had been slogging around huge double strollers. Of course, it’s only 14 pounds empty. Put two 2 1/2 year old boys in it and it weighs quite a bit more than 14 pounds. While it does technically fit through any standard doorway, you’d be amazed how many stores have no interest in meeting ADA requirements for width to allow access for wheelchairs (which just so happens to be the width of this stroller). Getting it through a door without assistance is a challenge on a good day and then just try to get it down the aisles. A great example is a card store. I can get this stroller down the aisles of any major card store, but you would not be able to walk down the aisle with me there.

Another little quirk of this stroller is that sometimes the wheels are rotating and having front locks, get ting stuck in the wrong position. To correct this you have to rock the stroller backward and shake them until they straighten out so that you can continue onward.

The basket is nice and wide. If you read the reviews you’ll see people raving about the huge basket underneath. It has next to no weight capacity, so if you drag along the necessities for two diaper age children on a day long outing, and you will find the bottom of this basket scraping the ground.

Another of the features is the canopy, which in my opinion is small enough to be non-existent. I don’t see the point of making a canopy this small. On other double strollers I have owned I have been able to effectively protect the kids from rain, sun or unwanted light. I haven’t actually been able to figure out a use for this canopy, so honestly we don’t use it much.

This may seem like a pan of this stroller, but actually we like it. We like that it has trays for snacks or water cups and that the boys sit side by side. Our twins are now almost 4 and we’re still rolling around in this stroller because we do find it comfortable and relatively easy to maneuver. In a world where most double and triple strollers hardly work at all, the Peg Perego Aria Twin stroller works well for us despite the small issues we’ve had.
