Bacon Salt Makes Everything Taste Like Bacon

Bacon Salt Makes Everything Taste Like BaconYou may not be a meat eater or even enjoy the flavor of bacon, but I urge you to try Bacon Salt. The makers of this cool product are just two normal guys (named Justin and Dave) who love grilling, Sunday football and the taste of bacon. They turned their dream into reality by trademarking this idea and marketing it as a seasoning. Not only is their product unique, their story is too. The start up money for their project was provided by Dave’s three year old son who won $5,000 on America’s Funniest Home Video’s.

Bacon Salt comes in three flavors - original, peppered and hickory. I personally enjoyed all three, but quickly found that each has its own niche for flavoring food. For example hickory is delicious on grilled items such as chicken, and peppered is great on steak or mashed potatoes. Surprisingly Bacon Salt is kosher, vegetarian and has zero calories. That’s right you can make everything taste like a fatty strip of bacon and won’t need to run hours on the treadmill later.

On their website you will find several recipes and tips on seasoning your favorite foods with Bacon Salt. They also offer a few gourmet meals that will make you look like a professional chef. All your friends will wonder how you seasoned the meal you serve with using pieces of bacon. They can’t see it, but they can sure taste it.

My only concern is the amount of sodium which is 135 mg per 1/4 teaspoon. Otherwise it has no nutritional value, just good taste. I can highly recommend Bacon Salt on french fries and corn on the cob. With summer around the corner and grilling season just a few months away, you should stock some of this in your cabinet. Bacon lovers will thank you!
