I love shoes. I’m not going to hide this shortcoming. I’ll buy shoes for myself, my husband and my sons, but when it comes to my daughters all bets are off. I started collecting shoes shortly after our ultrasound where the technician proclaimed that we were having not one, but two girls. Having been surrounded by blue, masculine things for quite some time, I was very ready to dive head first into the world of “girl.”
The girls spent most of their early months in Robeez soft soled crib style shoes. These were perfect for cruising around in the house and the occasional trip to the store. Unfortunately, as the girls got older and they started walking (and then running), I felt that they needed a bit of sturdier shoe. Much to my dismay most of the shoes that I tried for the girls provided plenty of support, but lacked in comfort. The shoes just didn’t seem to fit properly. Many pairs ended up leaving red marks on their feet and left them crying. I knew something just wasn’t right.
By stroke of luck just as I was in need of new spring shoes for the girls, I heard about the new line of Tredz from Robeez shoes. Could our old friend Robeez be making something new and exciting for my kids? I read all about the new shoes and what I could expect with this new line. Robeez boasted, “indoor comfort combined with outdoor protection for the best new choice in toddler shoes.” I was beside myself with excitement and there were so many gorgeous styles to choose from in sizes ranging from 12 months to 24 months, I was stuck. I didn’t know where to start. I ended up choosing a playful style (Circles) that works fabulously with all of their spring outfits, but is still nice enough to be dressed up!
The craftsmanship on these shoes is hands downs the best I’ve seen so far. The flexible rubber sole allows for full mobility, but without the rigidness that you get with your typical rubber soled shoe. The Velcro runs the full length of the strap making it just that much more difficult for your child to get off. The absolute best part of the shoe is the gathered elastic in the back of the shoe. We found that this cut down on so much of the chafing that we were used to experiencing. Our girls love to put on their beautiful shoes now and I’m pretty sure I’ve got Robeez to thank!
Robeez provides comfort and style for little feet. They are even approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association and you won’t find that seal on just any kid’s shoe!
