Sephora Heated Eyelash Curler Flattens & Disappoints

Sephora Heated Eyelash CurlerMy sister just raves about her heated eyelash curler. So when my traditional “squeeze” curler disappeared, I decided to try it. I headed on over to Sephora and purchased one for $16. It’s a little more expensive than the regular ones but I was desperate, and it claimed to help stubborn straight lashes.

I liked that it was compact and came with its own AAA battery. Like the instructions said, it heated in less than 15 seconds and was ready. However, when it came time to use it, it just didn’t curl my lashes no matter how many times I tried. Besides, I didn’t care for the heated feeling so close to my eyes. I decided to try and put on my mascara first and then curl it, hoping the mascara would hold the curl in place. It still didn’t work.

All in all, this product just didn’t do anything for me. I’m not sure if it’s just this particular brand or maybe my eyelashes. In any case, I’m headed to my local drugstore for my ever trusty $3 manual curler.

I cannot imagine a heating device that near your eye being a good idea.

This would totally scare me too! It’s like flat ironing your eyelashes!!!

Heat that close to your eye? No thanks. I’m thinking that notoriously straight eyelashes are just a curse of our Asian background, Kailani.
