Women seem to have serious issues with dry hands and it’s really no wonder why. We wash dishes, we change diapers and we are constantly subjecting ourselves to harsh cleaning products. I cannot leave the men out, because some are more domestic than we give them credit. For the most part mainly women have this rather annoying, if not sometimes painful problem. Dry hands can get cracked or cause peeling skin and that is just no fun.
I found Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond Moisturizer and I’m in love. I will admit that I love to try different types of lotion, but this one I always seem to go back to. It has a lovely scent that isn’t overpowering and a wonderfully creamy texture. Personally, I think the scent is very light. If you have ever purchased a lotion and then later realized you just couldn’t handle the smell, then I think you will appreciate the cherry-almond fragrance of Jergens Original Scent.
I have been looking for this lotion for years. I actually remember my mother using this lotion when I was growing up. Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond moisturizer brings back such fond memories of my childhood, how could I not like using this product?
The back of the bottle reads, “Smooth on this timeless formula daily for 24-hour moisturization and comforting relief that helps eliminate dryness. Give your skin the noticeably improved, healthier look that invites the touch.”
While I really enjoy the creamy texture and lovely fragrance of Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond, I don’t agree with the “24-hour moisturization” claim. Whether it is because of the winter season or the excessive dish washing I do, I have not had the lotion last a whole 24-hour period. I still have to apply the it several times a day. Aside from the 24-hour claim, I still enjoy Jergens Original Scent Cherry-Almond and will continue to use this product as long as it is available.

Did you know this product gets a rating of 6 on the cosmetic safety database? Sorry for the long link, I can’t figure out how to code it.

It also has alcohol and glycerin in it, which makes your hands drier, so you’ll use more.
Not to get all preachy, or anything. I find I’ve become more aware of this stuff over the last year and just wanted to share.
I have started looking at these too; but I just can’t help it; I like it..hehe. I did make note that the 24 hour claim isn’t so and I know it is because of the drying ingredients.
