We’re In Love With Swiffer SweeperVac

My new Swiffer SweeperVac arrived just as we returned home from Guatemala and our house was a mess from all of the Christmas festivities. We still had glitter and wrappings strewn all over the floor because we hopped a plane to meet our new son on the morning of the 26th and obviously we were not interested in cleaning up anything Christmas night.

I am in LOVE with this vacuum and could not live without it, as my house has all hardwood floors and they attract dust, dog hair and fur balls like static cling. I have tried every vacuum and every product out there and have found that nothing works better than a fleece sweatshirt on a toddler…until now.

The Swiffer Sweeper and Vac is two fabulous products in one. It is a Swiffer dry sweeper that uses static cling power to catch every dog hair and fur ball that hide in corners and it’s a vacuum! My floors and toddler sweatshirts have never been so clean.

All my life I’ve had carpet either in my parents’ home, in my rented apartments or in my current home. However, now that we have children, we’ve recently found the need to replace the carpeting with flooring.

I love the way flooring looks and feels but along with it comes a whole new set of problems, one of which is dust, hair and crumbs. When we had carpet, we never saw the daily accumulation of particles on the floor, however, now it’s a daily battle to keep up. We purchased a flooring-friendly vacuum and a dust buster but nothing can compare to the Swiffer SweeperVac.

Out of the box, it was so easy to assemble that I didn’t even need to read the instruction manual. Definitely a plus for me! Once that’s done, you’ll need to charge it for 24 hours before you can use it. Storage wasn’t a problem since the unit is so slim. I was able to just plug it into an outlet in the bathroom and leave the Swiffer in the corner. I didn’t even notice it was there.

Then it came time to try it out and all I can say is that the Swiffer SweeperVac is a Godsend. It glided easily along the floor and picked up all the crumbs and pet hair along the way. The dust cloth (which you need to attach first) attracted the dirt and dust particles. Everything it picked up was contained in a bag-less canister for easy disposal.

The best part of the Swiffer SweeperVac is that it eliminated the need to drag out the heavy vacuum or bend over when using the dust buster. The Swiffer SweeperVac made tidying up so much easier. The easier it is, the more likely I am to do it.
