When Polliwalks were first introduced to me I was angry, because I wish I would have created this type of kid’s shoe. They are beyond cute, but also offer more than just foot protection. Designed in four styles (ducks, lady bugs, gators and frogs) and available in a variety of colors, they certainly mix things ups. Once you get past the features of the patented Animal shapes on top, you’ll need to look on the bottom. Or better yet, have your child go stomp in some dirt, sand or just jump in a puddle and step on the concrete and watch the footprints come alive.
How often do we tell kids it’s alright to go get their shoes dirty? For a clean-freak like myself, that would be unheard of until now, but these are so easy to clean that I’m alright with it. Our 5 year old choose the gators in army green and it’s been a struggle to explain to him that in 15 degree weather he cannot wear them to school. So instead he chooses to wear them around the house, strutting his “awesome” new shoes. I let him test them in the snow recently and the gator footprints could be seen all over our driveway. Who would have thought about making shoes entertaining for a kid?
I was shocked that such a cute, new shoe was cheaper than the traditional Crocs. What a deal! They come in sizes 4 for infants/toddlers through 2 for older children. I predict these will be all the rave this spring when the weather warms up, so get your kids a pair now. I was recently sent a pair of shoes to review, or really I guess they were for my daughter to review. I opened the box and instantly liked the colorful, fun ladybugs clogs inside. I showed them to Sophie and I swear it was love at first sight, they are just about the only thing she will put on her feet now.
She likes them because they are fun to look at and comfortable to wear. I like them because they are fun to look at, easy to get on and a breeze to clean. They also have a funky tread on the bottoms that will leave imprints of ladybugs in dirt, mud or sand. As soon as it’s not 20 degrees outside you can be assured that we will be testing out this fun feature.
Really, if I had to say these have a downside it is only that Sophie keeps bugging me to put them on her. I am so impressed by Polliwalks that I will be purchasing another pair for her when she outgrows these. Seriously, get in the car and go buy these now, or go order your own bit of kid goodness. Your children will love you even more!

Of the four styles, I think overall I like the Frog the best. (I really wanted to like the Ladybug with the treads, as mentioned by Andi, but the “face” just looked strange to me.) However, the Gator is cute too.
They looks almost just like Crocs! I wonder if they last as long?

I LOVE the army green frogs. My son is three, almost four, and he loves his crocs. When he saw a picture of these, he informed me that he NEEDS a pair of those. We live in Florida and he lives in his crocs year round. These shoes would be much loved if they came to live at this house.

OMG the frog ones are too cute!!! My son loves these shoes–best thing ever made! It makes my life easier too–he can put on his shoes while I get his twin sisters ready!! It’s great and then he thinks that he is VERY independent and can do everything himself!

I love this product! As a teacher these would be great to have in the classroom. Kids would love them and they are easy to care for… no more shoe laces or tricky Velcro. I think I like the ladybugs best but the purple ducks caught my eye too.. Purple is my favourite colour. I wish they had an adult version. They would be so great to wear in school.

WOW! I’ve never seen this before. I daughter is a croc fanatic, we actually had to buy the Mammoth (fleece-lined) ones to get her through the winter. As an alligator/crocodile obsessed two-year old, I think she would LOVE the gator version.

We love the Ladybugs- what a creative idea!!
Last summer we took a day trip to Mexico. I saw some shoes that were very similar to these. I had never seen anything like them so I had to buy a pair for my daughter. However, the quality isn’t anything like the Polliwalks. I would be thrilled to get a pair of Fuchsia Lady Bugs for my daughter.

I had a hard time choosing a favorite, especially since I have a boy and a girl in those sizes. I would love the Lady bug for Trinity because her nickname is bug, and either the gators or the frogs for Samuel.
