Water Works Travel Drawing Board is a Hit!

If you have young children like I do, chances are you have a love/hate relationship with crayons, markers and pens. I love that my kids enjoy drawing and coloring but I really hate finding marks from the aforementioned implements, both accidental and intentional, all over my house. We won’t even discuss the amounts of paper my kids can plow through on any given day.

Of course I don’t want to ban all drawing activities in my house. I’m an artist myself and creative expression is highly valued in my home. Enter the Water Works Travel Drawing Board by Parents®. It’s a 2-sided tablet that uses little pens filled with water as drawing tools. Kids use the water-filled pens to create their drawings on the tablet and after about a minute the water dries and the image fades away, leaving a newly clean surface for yet another masterpiece. It’s really very cool and the pictures look a lot better than those done on a Magnadoodle.

I have a 2 year old and a seven year old and they absolutely love their Water Works. It comes with four pens and the 2 sides allow them to take turns, begrudgingly, without having to wait for the current picture to fade away. We bring it in the car when we have to go places and my only regret is that I don’t have one for each of them so I don’t have to listen to them bicker over it.

Christmas is coming so I think Santa will be bringing one of them their very own Water Works tablet. He’ll be bringing me some much needed quiet in the car and a bit of comfort in knowing we’re not destroying acres upon acres of trees to satisfy their creative urges.
