I am an occasional consumer of the goodies at Bath and Body Works. I love their stuff, it’s usually that I’m not at the mall when I need that sort of thing and then when I am at the mall I’m stocked up so timing is an issue. However, I was recently in there sniffing about at the holiday lotions and lovely things when I happened upon their Velvet Tuberose lotion.
I fell in love. It smells so much like Sand and Sable that I smell patent infringement, but it’s wonderful. I love the scent which is a strong floral scent, and overwhelmingly girly some might say.
I didn’t buy the perfume. I bought the lotion and unlike every random lotion product I’ve ever purchased in there, it doesn’t seem to work. I slather my hands with it several times a day, and it actually seems to irritate my skin. My knuckles come away red and itchy.
I think it might actually just have so much perfume in it that the soothing effects of the lotion are lost. Or something like that. My chemistry is a little rusty. I think I will actually buy the perfume, but I can’t recommend this lotion.

Interesting..I just got this lotion as a gift and I haven’t tried it yet….I hope it works better for me…my hands are so dry!
I got this lotion for Christmas, and I noticed skin irritation as well. Its too bad, because it smells so good.
I’ve actually found that I have problems with the lotions from there as well which is why if I want something from BBW, I insist on the body cream or hand cream. The lotion isn’t exactly lotion and I’ve even had a few of the fragrances make me break out in an itchy rash while the body cream and wash of the same fragrance didn’t bother me one bit.
