Must Have Monday’s! 05

Must Have Monday’s!Welcome to our newest addition - Must Have Monday’s. Find out what we use in our homes and our lives.

Every Monday we’ll tell you about the things we can’t live without. If you have a “must have” item to pass along please e-mail us. We welcome contributions from our readers.

My number one essential item is my sling. I bought mine on a recommendation from a friend before my twin girls were born. I had used a Baby Bjorn with our triplets and while I found breastfeeding in it to be a breeze, the straps dug into my shoulders, and it hurt my lower back. There had to be a better option.

I received a Hotsling while pregnant and I immediately loved the luxurious fabric, the way it draped casually over my shoulder and most importantly the way that my current 25 pound child nestled into it and sat snugly on my hip. People would stop me in the mall and ask where I got it. Breastfeeding was such a snap, and discreet too. I love, love this sling.

I love handmade soap that smells delicious and leaves my skin feeling soft and rejuvenated without all the harsh chemicals and additives you typically find in your branded store version. If you feel the same way, then you’ll love Feto Soaps.

They sell everything from cute soap bars with toys inside to food scented soaps. My favorite is the blackberry sage made with avocado, coconut and olive oil. There is even a bar named “Man Smell” that I’m very curious to order. If it smells like my husband’s pillow, then I might be ordering in bulk! These would make great stocking stuffer’s for Christmas and you can find something for all ages. Feto also caters to its customers and will create custom products, including body and linen sprays, perfume, soap products and reed diffusers.

When I tried to remove grass stain, grape juice, dirt, ketchup and everything else that my kids brought home on their clothes I failed. Now at retirement age the list reads wine and food that hasn’t hit my mouth. The De-Solv-It spray is marvelous and all you do is spray it on before you wash. It does have a citrus odor that is penetrating, but is not detectable after use.

I have actually washed and dried a sweatshirt only to find a stain when I’m folding. I sprayed on De-Solv-It, rewashed and the stain disappeared. That is pretty impressive for $6.00 a bottle. It has taken out grease, ketchup, tomato juice and almost everything I’ve used it on. It’s environmentally friendly and biodegradable. The label touts many other uses and it claims to be mom approved. I purchased mine from Wal-Mart in the housecleaning aisle, not the laundry items as one would think.
