Welcome to our newest addition – Must Have Monday’s. Find out what we use in our homes and our lives.
Every Monday we’ll tell you about the things we can’t live without. If you have a “must have” item to pass along please e-mail us. We welcome contributions from our readers.

I am addicted to Sugar in the Raw in my coffee. This is sugar without the rich flavor beached and processed out of it. It actually tastes like something, not just SWEET. A friend introduced me to it several years ago, by saying that I had to try it, because he thought it lent a fantastic “nutty” flavor to his coffee. The natural molasses remains in this sugar but it’s subtle and not overpowering. It is also fantastic in my iced tea. I find it’s a little hard to bake with because it doesn’t dissolve properly or maybe I’m not doing it right. Regardless, for my weekend coffee, I can’t live without Sugar in the Raw!

Must Have Monday means an opportunity to share favorite products and today it is my New York Times electronic subscription that I want to tout. Waiting in lines, extended visits to the ladies room and at carpool pick-up I use my trusty iPhone to call up the NYT always delivers top-notch news and editorials.
In fact, the NYT stores my personalized search words and pushes articles to me that I might otherwise miss. While I am so in love with the electronic format of the NYT, on Sundays I am always pleased to read the old-fashioned printed version of the paper. However, my favorite column, Modern Love, which is featured in Sunday Styles, posts online on Saturday, and it takes all my will power not to read it online and save it for a delicious Sunday morning read.

Straight, stringy, stick to your head hair will be no more! How many times have you puffed up your hair only to look in the mirror as you head out the door to find it flat as a pancake? The answer is in Aveda’s Pure Abundance volumizing hair spray.
If you use it first thing after a comb out. Your hair will stay out of your face for the rest of the day, but be careful not to create helmet head. Some bounce is good. There is no perfume smell and it is easily washed out with shampoo. The cost is about $15 for 6.7 oz and be found at Aveda Salons.
