Fun Slides Toys & Games Think Outside The Box

Fun SlidesI recently had the opportunity to test out two toys for kids - Fun Slide Carpet Skates and Carpet Bocce. Notice a pattern? They both involve the carpet, plus they are both indoor toys.

It’s that time of year again that many people are looking for a cool new gift to give. Seems like I struggle finding unique educational gifts each year for nieces and nephews who live out of town. We are not around them very much and it’s hard to know what toys they already have.

If that situation applies to you and your family, then go check out Fun Slides Toys and Games and see the different products they have to offer. Their concept is simple - why not turn outdoor games into activities you can do inside and the entire family can enjoy together? Mission accomplished on their part.

The Carpet Skates reminded me of sliding around in socks on hardwood floors as a kid. Our son loved them and I admit I did too! All you need is a pair of athletic shoes to strap them on and go. Oh, and carpet. They should include the fact that hyper 5 year old boys will go to bed early after use!

At first I was hesitant to turn our living room into a skating rink, but nothing got broken and it was good exercise. You can choose from 6 fun colors and they fit up to a size 15 shoe. What a good reason to get off the couch and on the floor!

If you know the basic rules of Bocce, then you’ll immediately know what to do with their Carpet Bocce game. The same rules all apply, they’ve just altered the setting. I am impressed with the critical skills development and educational value this game provides. Despite the name of this game, we actually used our hardwood dining room floor and it worked just as well.

Both are available for under $20 and would make great Christmas gifts no matter what the weather’s like outside. We are always looking for a new family game and thanks to Fun Slides, we’ve found one.

Someday she’d like to visit Intercourse, PA and have her picture taken with the welcome sign. She writes at her personal blog, Fenicle and loves free samples and trying new things!
