NIVEA Body Patch Doesn’t Say Good-Bye Cellulite

A few weeks ago several samples from NIVEA body care line showed up in my mailbox. Never one to turn away trying something new, I decided to investigate the product before me.

NIVEA has developed a body patch that continuously releases L-Carnitine, which is a treatment targeted to fight cellulite that turns fat into energy and is found naturally in the body. Sounds great right? A patch that helps conceal problem areas and comes in the form of a white cotton square with a jelly-like sticky bottom.

They state that your skin will become tighter, the texture will improve and the appearance of cellulite will be reduced after 4 weeks of use. The patch is to be applied 2-3 times per week and must remain on for 8 hours.

For most of us that would mean applying the patch during the evening and leaving it on overnight. They warn you that you might experience a slight feeling of heat or tingling after you apply it, but I never did. I found the patch to be relatively comfortable when it stayed on.

You almost need an ace bandage to keep it in place. If you can’t keep the junk on your trunk how it is going to do it’s magic?

The problem area I concentrated on was my thighs and although my skin may feel a bit smoother and firmer the cellulite is still there. In all honesty I didn’t expect a miracle. After all, we all know that there is no permanent cure to cellulite.

NIVEA also created a Good-Bye Cellulite Gel Cream that you can use in conjunction with this product. Although my recommendation would be to ditch the creams, gels and patches and just do a few more squats.

For around $12.99 you’ll get a box of 6 patches and if you choose your thighs, you’ll need 3 patches per leg, per area a week. This will add up quickly when you think in terms of a month of use. So instead of saying good-bye to your dimples, you’ll be saying good-bye to your money!

Sometimes change is all in your head so maybe you’ll be the customer who sees dramatic results.

You know, the long-term cost of this sort of stuff is always ridiculous. Give me something effective AND cheap and I might be more inclined to buy it.
