As you may have surmised by now, I’m always on the look out for beauty products on the cheap.
The problem is…with beauty products, about 90% of the time you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. So buying cheap usually means buying junk, and is therefore to be avoided AT ALL COSTS.
But I continue to dabble and sometimes I run across something worth a hoot. Such is the case with Lucky Chick. I’d been looking for either a sugar or a salt scrub for a few weeks but really didn’t want to shell out $30-$50 bucks for one I knew would do the trick. In my experience, cheap body scrubs usually don’t have anything LIKE good scrubbing capability or any sort of moisturizing.
So needless to say I wasn’t expecting anything when I picked up Lucky Chick Mandarin White Orchid sugar scrub for about $5.
Surprise!
First of all it was packed FULL of grainy sugar scrubbing goodness. I was positively PINK from the scrubbing and exfoliating. And the smell? YUMMY. I know some people don’t like an abundance of scent. If this is you, you will hate this product. But if you are like me and like to be swaddled in layers of flowery girly goodness, all I can say is yummy!
I can’t decide if I smell like flowers or candy or flowery candy or what but it’s good. There was enough moisturizer in it to keep my skin from shriveling up from the rough treatment of exfoliation, right now I’m feeling really soft and smooth.
I found Lucky Chick at Walmart but they have a website that appears to be under construction. I am interested in checking out some more of their products to see if I get the same level of performance from them.
