Betty Beauty ~ Hair Color for Your Betty

Warning: I am about to discuss my crotch.

My husband discovered a product on the web called Betty. It’s a hair color product for your hair “down there.” Not to be too indelicate, we both thought it would be fun to make a cosmetic change to that area.

Betty features colors that are natural, like blonde, various brunettes and reds and some Fun Betty colors like hot pink and orange.

We opted for the Blonde Betty and placed our order.

Rather than share my before and after pictures, of which I will spare you, I thought I’d tell you about the actual process.

It’s a two step process for the color that I chose. First off, you bleach the hair. Naturally, you have to use some care as this is a delicate area. They recommend not putting ANY of the bleach near anything internal, if you follow me. Just use it on externally hairy bits.

You comb it on with a brush like a big mascara wand. Let sit for 30 minutes. At the 30 minute mark it started to get a bit tingly, as in…it might have been been very bad had it stayed on any longer.

At the 30 minute point you hop in the shower and wash it all off using shampoo to make sure all the bleach has been removed.

Then you add the color; in my case a blonde dye. Again, you let it sit about 30 minutes. The applicator was a big mascara brush type thing again. After 30 minutes, you hit the shower and rinse everything out.

I used the shampoo since it was a blonde color but I could imagine you wouldn’t use shampoo if you put on a Betty color instead of blonde.

How did it work? Really well, actually. It did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Next time though, I’m getting the hot pink!
