The Smartest Kidswear Ever ~ WIN IT!

My husband says that I’m “vocabularious” so I suppose it’s only natural I would gravitate towards SATees, which are these terribly clever shirts (and onesies) for babies and children with very sophisticated adjectives printed on them.

The idea is that you pick an adjective that describes YOUR child so of course, I had no choice but to select “itinerant” (wandering) for my 25 month old son. If you could have seen him the other day when I rather foolishly decided our brief trip to Target didn’t warrant using a cart… He was itinerant, alright. Times TEN. Anyway, his shirt arrived earlier this week and we’ve already gotten numerous compliments on it.

My fondness for words and language makes me love SATees sooo much that I asked the brains behind these awesome shirts if we could give one away to our readers and they graciously said yes!

To win an SATee of your choice, just go to their shop, choose which item you would like to win and post it in our comments. A winner will be randomly selected and posted on Tuesday July 31st!

Izzy is a work-at-home mom of two young children. She can usually be found writing at her personal blog, IzzyMom, managing Props & Pans, or designing something.

I love the onesie that says extemporaneous!! Too fun!

I’m sending people your way!

Mel | 2007-07-20 23:39:52

I like “Itinerant” as well. Thats the one I want!

Beth | 2007-07-20 23:40:17

indefatigable (untiring)-that’s my kid for sure!!

Linsey Knerl | 2007-07-21 00:07:14

I love the onesie for 6 month olds that says pulchritudinous (beautiful)!

Great giveaway!

nicole/wksocmom | 2007-07-21 02:41:15

Well, dilatory (tending to cause delay) certainly fits my kid, but really I’d go for whimsical.

Amy | 2007-07-21 07:48:13

My friends just had a baby and I’d love to give them a little t-shirt that says pulchritudinous because the new baby is, indeed, beautiful.

Mama Luxe | 2007-07-21 10:20:27

My favorite is either dilatory or indefatigable.

april | 2007-07-21 11:21:15

I like so many…do I have to choose just one?? Okay, if I must choose just one, I like the childs large indefatigable.

Sarah, Goon Squad Sarah | 2007-07-21 14:02:57

Dilatory. All Day long.

Jackie | 2007-07-21 17:40:24

I like so many of them. Hmmm… I guess both of my kids are indefatigable!

Kari | 2007-07-21 19:43:38

indefatigable, definitely.

And me… the opposite.

Melinda | 2007-07-21 21:13:03

Those shirts are great. I think I would pick Whimsicle for my son. He is so funny sometimes. Funny 5 year old.

kittenpie | 2007-07-21 21:31:50

Loquacious, for sure. God, is she ever…

I love these.

motherbumper | 2007-07-21 23:12:39

B is frustratingly, but done in the cutest way possible, indefatigable (untiring).

Those are some cool duds.

hokgardner | 2007-07-22 11:16:40

Indefatigable for my six-year-old, who is convinced she’ll miss something important if she sleeps.

Miss Maven | 2007-07-22 11:46:53

indefatigable - I have 2 of those!

Andrea | 2007-07-22 16:23:26

Ohhh, those are the cutest shirts ever! :) I would pick the gregarious (sociable) one! :)

Elizabeth | 2007-07-22 18:53:26

Not that my daughter isn’t pulchritudinous, but I would have to say indefatigable is definitely a better description!

Snoa | 2007-07-22 19:22:32

My son is definitely jocular.

Naomi | 2007-07-22 23:47:04

The pink loquacious toddler tee is the best fit for my daughter. We visited her new baby brother in the NICU this morning and she asked the nurses if he was getting enough oxygen… eek.

Her brother is more on the puerile or supine track right now.

Beth | 2007-07-23 02:53:01

Hmmm. I have three kids, and pulchritudinous (beautiful) definitelky works for all of them, and indefatigable (untiring) fits my younger two, the one I’d really want is a child’s large sapient (possessing wisdom) for my son. That is him to a (SA)Tee. :)

Mama Zen | 2007-07-23 09:53:23

For my four year old? Definitely “indefatigable!”

binkytown | 2007-07-23 10:44:28

I’m for dilatory, although I’d take any of them. (Whats the fancy word for that anyway?)

tuesday | 2007-07-23 15:08:40

I love loquacious, because my daughter never. stops. talking.
Ever.

Angela at mommy bytes | 2007-07-23 16:47:31

My son is indefatigable as long as he’s awake. And he’s a kid’s medium.

Carrie | 2007-07-23 21:24:19

I soooo would love to have indefatigable for my 4yo…..

Wendy | 2007-07-23 23:10:59

Oh! My Aedan is positively indefatigable (untiring). He is only still while sleeping,a nd he still thrashes around! Great giveaway!

BBM | 2007-07-24 00:02:56

Loquacious for my 6 year old. Ain’t that the truth!

And indefatigable for my almost two year old. (I think I spelled that right.)

thebluestbutterfly | 2007-07-24 00:37:22

I know a little one that the omnivorous bib would be perfect for. This baby just left chew marks on a remote control.

becky | 2007-07-24 00:42:59

i like “supine”.

my 2nd favorite would be extemporaneous.

with a kid coming in 3 1/2 months, this would be perfect. thanks for letting us know about these. i’ll be checking them out a bit more.

Sherry | 2007-07-24 01:19:33

I LOVE gregarious. And Loquacious. Both describe my twins to a tee!!!

Shelly | 2007-07-24 12:01:29

My husband would choose dilatory as he constantly complains of this characteristic in our 2.5 year old son. I, on the other hand, find edacious to be a perfect fit. This boy simply cannot stand to have just one of any thing.

Rebecca | 2007-07-24 12:21:42

This is my dilemma: which child do I choose for? I guess I’ll decide that if I win.

For my daughter it would be pulchritudinous (beautiful), her name actually has the same definition and she is so it works.

For my son it would be loquacious (talkative) because, well he is.

Susan | 2007-07-24 16:46:14

Blithesome…perfect for my wee one

Vickie | 2007-07-25 01:07:18

Hmmm….the most appropriate SAT word for my son is “taciturn”, since he’s 21 months and NOT talking.

(If he were still an infant I’d go with extemporaneous, since we were pretty surprised by his appearance in our lives.)

Great contest!

Hestial | 2007-07-25 01:54:37

I don’t know why, but “erudite” has to be my favorite!

Tere | 2007-07-25 11:40:23

Ah, a tough one. Max is most def blithesome and gregarious. But the *truthiest* description for him is indefatigable. For sure.

Melizzard | 2007-07-25 15:20:27

dilatory would definitely be the word of the day around here.. Mommy yells a lot “you’re being a delay fish!”

jessica | 2007-07-25 17:06:57

pulchritudinous(beautiful) or blithesome (cheerful)
they both describe our sunshine!

Amy | 2007-07-25 17:17:59

Very cute! I would pick jocular.

Dawn | 2007-07-26 01:54:06

I think the indefatigable one describes all of my kids, lol!

Erin | 2007-07-26 10:38:41

I’d have to go with itenerant, altho the omnivorous bib is classic…but the things he eats aren’t timed with wearing a bib!

cre82learn | 2007-07-26 13:10:14

OMG!!! I **love** these shirts!! There are so many that would fit my little boo but I would have to choose extemporaneous (made without much preparation), after all, he was a surprise coming almost 8 yrs after our “baby”.

Elysa Mac | 2007-07-26 16:28:22

These are incredible! I’d love a pink BLITHESOME one for my cheerful toddler appropriately named MERRY! :)

cre82learn | 2007-07-29 00:09:00

I love the onesie that says extemporaneous, certainly could be used to describe my newest, unexpected baby!!
I really, really, like all of them. I wonder how many people I would have to explain the definition to?

laane | 2007-07-30 19:36:13

My girls are mellifluous. They are.
They’re so sweet, caring and lovely to other people.
And caring for their autism spectrum disorder brothers.

So they’re also mellycarious. LOL!
