Freya: Gorgeous Bras for the Well-Endowed

1-2-4461.jpgThere are things about me that are extreme, to say the least. My feet are not just narrow, but are a size 9.5 AAAA. My vision is not just bad, it’s “can’t walk across the room without my glasses” bad. And my boobs are not just ample, they are, quite frankly, huge.

The thing is, I am not that huge. Although I am not a small woman, I am not overweight, nor am I very big boned. It’s just my chest. My very own porn star chest, without the unnatural lift and poke or the desire to have random pillow fights with other women.

Buying bras is never a fun outing for me. I want something pretty. Something sexy. Something that my husband only wants to see me wear for about 90 seconds before it comes off again. People want to sell me something functional. Something that supports me. I want the lure of Victoria’s Secret and I come home with a beige minimizer with padded straps and a million hooks.

By the way, do you know what Victoria’s Secret is? Her secret is that if you have any amount of boob over “ample,” you might as well keep on walking. There is nothing besides panties and body spray that are going to fit you in that store.

This weekend, I found out that there is hope. Freya makes bras for women with a large cup size and smaller band size. Are you a 32J? Then Freya has a bra — a very pretty bra — for you. I purchased the Zeta bra in a 36G. It is a beautiful bra with only 2 hooks. A beautiful, comfortable, and supportive bra with, only 2 hooks. The last bra I bought that only had 2 hooks was to go under my Easter dress in the 8th grade. The Zeta bra is a perfect combination of sexy and support.

These bras are not cheap. The Zeta cost me nearly $60. However, so did the incredibly ugly padded strap 4 hook boulder-holder that I also purchased. Good bras are never cheap. I can’t wait to slowly but surely replace each and every matronly bra I have ever bought with a lovely new bra from Freya.
