A Good Veggie Sneak!

juice.jpgSaw a commercial for this new fruit-plus-vegetable juice and figured it might be a good buy for our vegetable-hating son. But would he drink it? Am I the lamest mother ever for trying to sneak in grape-flavored carrots?

Who cares!? He liked it!

We tried the grape flavor. Tasted just like strong purple grape juice to me, but with a hint of extra heft, like a very thin juice smoothie. I also noticed some lovely jammy overtones and a surprisingly bold finish…oh that was the merlot, sorry…

A full serving, 8 oz., is equal to 2/3rds of a serving of vegetables and 1 and 1/3rd servings of fruit. Not huge, but better than nothing. A good alternative if your picky eater doesn’t like other combo juices, like V8 Fusion.

It also comes in orange mango and tropical flavor, each with fruit juice mixed with with carrot and sweet potato. (The grape just has carrots.)

The maker is offering a $1 off coupon here.

One note: For your older picky eater, you might want to turn the label around — there are bunches of carrots on the front!
