I’ll admit it. I absolutely LOVE books. In fact, I’m a bit nutty about them. I’ve been reading since I was four, and it is not unusual for me to have three or four (or more!) selections going at a time. I can spend HOURS at a time in the library or my local Barnes & Noble (or pretty much any good bookstore). My husband pokes fun of me for this.
While I certainly love libraries, there is something about a brand new book. About OWNING said book. Unfortunately, books are not cheap. Ask any college student. That is why I’m doing cartwheels over Zooba.
If you are as much of a bibliophile as I am, this will be huge for you. The process is very simple. You create a free account and start to build your reading list. They have books in EVERY category…kids, cooking, fiction, non-fiction…you name it!
For $9.95 a month, they will ship you the next book on your list (which you can change and update as often as you’d like). The books are hardcover and shipping is free.
In my first month, I picked up Martha Stewart’s Homekeeping Handbook, a monster reference book, which normally retails for $45.
My second selection, Christopher Paolini’s Eragon, came yesterday. If you’re REALLY into books, you’ll be happy to know that you’re not limited to the auto-ship one per month. You can purchase as many as you’d like, at $9.95 each, all with free shipping!
Now, I know that some of you are thinking that this is just another book club that’s going to suck you in and lock you into some bizarre agreement. Not so! After just three books, you can cancel! It’s so simple. They even have a satisfaction guarantee.
Go, check it out! Build your summer reading list, build your kids’ summer reading list!
