Dove Cream Oil Body Wash Gets Props

blogstuff 001.jpgI am a sucker for a free sample of anything. So when Dove plastered ads all over every web site I visit for the past month for their new Cream Oil Body Wash, I went to their site and schmucked about enough that I ended up signing up to receive a free sample. Every dermatologist I’ve ever been to has recommended Dove soap to me because of my recurrent eczema. And I’ve ignored them. Personally I’ve always found Dove soap to be boring and not nearly girly enough for me. I know the point is to get clean, but I not only needed the moisture, I also wanted to smell like a girly girl. If that meant my skin became unbelievably dry and tight the second I came out of the shower, then I would opt for the good smell, every time.

The first thing I was completely impressed by was that this wasn’t a sample. This was a FULL SIZE bottle of Dove Cream Oil Body Wash. They must have sensed my desperate need for hydration, or maybe I told them on the site, but they sent the ÜBER moisturizing - three tear drop level “ULTRA RICH IN ROSEWOOD AND COCOA BUTTER” scent.

It makes a really nice rich lather that feels almost like moisturizer, and it smells completely wonderful, surprisingly. It rinses completely clean, but you feel great and moisturized when you towel off. And, remarkably, I didn’t notice any drying out of my skin as I dried off. No tightness, no itchiness. In fact, I was still soft and smooth, just like the bottle says. I checked the ingredients on the back and found that it’s an eczema sufferers dream concoction as the FIRST ingredient (and therefore the most plentiful) is petrolatum; the most moisturizing substance for eczema and the longest lasting.

Huge Props to Dove Cream Oil Body Wash. I will actually buy this product. I bet it’s dynamite to shave with too.
