How Much is a Sleek Bikini Line Worth Anyway?

Tend Skin bottleIf you’re not familiar with it, Tend Skin is a product that helps stop those nasty ingrown hair bumps that you get a) when your wax job starts to grow back in or b) when you shave against the grain in your bikini line area or c) you’re cheap and lazy and keep using a razor after it’s gotten dull. Oh, wait. That’s me. Never mind.

While I’m not a fan of the Brazilian wax, I do need to manicure my bikini line regularly. And as I have blogged about in the past, it seems to be getting more bold in it’s advancement beyond the pantylines so waxing actually makes more sense than shaving. But I’ve never been able to figure out how people (read: those in adult entertainment *ahem*) manage to be free of a single ingrown hair anywhere. It’s like some kind of trade secret or something and nobody’s giving it up willingly.

Well, greedy strippers and aestheticians, you no longer have this mom over a barrel. Nope. I have found Tend Skin. And it does work.

But there is one thing I can’t overlook; that being the price. You need to use Tend Skin EVERY DAY and it goes fast. Particularly when you’re using a cotton ball, which soaks up about half of this liquid gold and wastes it.

When a 4 oz bottle costs $20 plus S&H (what I paid ordering directly from the company) that can add up quick, especially when you use it on multiple areas. A dripless gel or roll-on formula would work much better, in my opinion. And when they read this and use my idea, they better cut me in on the profits!

In a nutshell, Tend Skin works well but it’s prohibitive price is a sticking point for me. That aside, they don’t test on animals (which I love) so if you’re considering buying it, at least you can do so with a crystal clear conscience!

Here are a couple of places you can buy it cheaper than $20 plus S/H.

8 oz: (yup, twice as much) $16.80, in a pump bottle.

8 oz, pump $21

8 oz, $35 FREE S/H

I’m sure there are more places. Some are listed on eBay, but you have to watch the expiration dates.

Hope this helps!

I’ll have to try this even though it is expensive. I say the price may be worth it if it works!

I’m so glad you posted this. I’m the queen of in-grown hairs and I’m a serious snatch shaver. This is a sad combination…I love you for this.

Izzy…thank you so much for reviewing this product…I really need something like this and have had NO LUCK with similar products. I’m going to check this out.

Oooh! Me too!
This has always been a huge problem for me, and I’ve yet to find anything that really works.
I’ll be checking this out for sure.

Ooh, thanks for the tip, must go look for some now. Maybe a Q-tip would work better in that it won’t pick up as much and it’s a relatively small area anyhow?

They already make a roll-on gel version…it’s called Vanish.

Cool. I’m all over this. Shaving does not work, especially when you can no longer see your crotch.

Thanks for the info even though I cannot endorse a product for which I have no info and have never used.

Be careful ladies. Tendskin is a miracle liquid, but it burns like bejeezus, especially on your tender parts. Be really careful about where you apply it, and be sure to wash your hands properly afterwards because that stuff can be lethal.

There is nothing lethal about it but yes, it can burn (however, it still hurts a heck of a lot less than the actual waxing.)

As for use elsewhere, I apply it on my acne prone spots as an exfoliant and it works great.

Of course, you should ALWAYS read all instructions and heed all precautions before using.
